Mondo Knows Games
Chess
Real chess, not a simplified version: legal move checking, castling both ways, en passant captures, promotion with a choice of piece, and checkmate and stalemate detection. Mondo searches three plies ahead with alpha-beta pruning and favours centre control, so loose pieces get punished. Every rule in the engine is checked against the standard move counts for the opening position.
