Using the site

You are welcome to use Mondo Knows for personal, educational or professional purposes at no cost. You do not need an account. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a volume that affects other visitors, or present its content as your own.

Calculators are estimates, not advice

Every calculator shows the formula it uses, and the answers are checked by an automated test suite. Even so, they are general-purpose tools that cannot account for your full circumstances, local rules or the latest rates and thresholds.

• Financial calculators are not financial, tax or investment advice.
• Health and fitness calculators are not medical advice, and are not suitable for diagnosis.
• Dates, conversions and unit calculators may be affected by rounding, conventions and local rules.

For anything with real consequences, check the result against a qualified professional or an official source.

Quizzes and challenges are entertainment

The personality quizzes and the reaction, memory, typing, colour and maths challenges are written for fun. They are not psychological tests and they are not clinical measurements. Reaction times, memory span and typing speed depend on your device, your input method, your browser and how tired you are.

Trivia and facts

Trivia answers and facts are checked against the sources named on the page, and corrections are made when they are reported. Even so, Mondo Knows cannot guarantee that every statement is complete or current, particularly for records and figures that change over time. Verify anything important at the original source, which is always linked.

Games

Every game on Mondo Knows was built for this site. There are no embedded third-party games, so no outside party's terms, advertising or tracking applies to them.

Your scores

Scores, streaks and best results are stored in your own browser, as described in the Privacy Policy. Mondo Knows has no copy of them, so they cannot be restored if they are lost.

Intellectual property

The Mondo Knows name, the Mondo character, the games, quizzes, puzzles and written content on this site belong to their creator. You may link to any page, quote briefly with a link back, and use the calculators for their intended purpose. Republishing content wholesale, or reusing the Mondo character or artwork, needs permission first: hello@mondoknows.com.

Availability and warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may be changed, and parts of it may be removed or become unavailable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mondo Knows is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on a result it produced.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
