Checkers
American checkers: eight pieces each, forward diagonal moves, captures that chain, and kings that can go backwards. Captures are compulsory, which is the rule people forget and then lose to. Mondo searches three plies ahead with alpha-beta pruning, so it will happily trade pieces to corner a king but will not spot a five-move trap.

- If a capture is available you must take it.
- Reach the far row to become a king, marked K.
